Exciting news for our Business Case Builder and Transformation Cockpit users! Txture now takes custom cloud service discounts into account. This means even more precise forecasting and scenario planning for your infrastructure and application migrations.
So far, Txture automatically considered standard volume-based discounts like Google's Sustained Use Discounts (SUD) or AWS's tiered pricing. We also allowed you to set preferences for longer-term commitment discounts, like one or three years reserved instances or a general discount for a certain provider.
But that’s not all. We recognize that cloud providers may offer custom discounts on specific services based on negotiation or order volume. For example, you might have a special deal for a 10% discount on all Google Compute Engine (GCE) instances or all Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) instances.
With Txture's new Target Architecture Preference “Cloud Product Discount”, you can easily factor in these service-specific discounts when creating your target architecture proposals. This allows for a much more realistic picture of your potential cloud costs, helping you make informed decisions during your cloud migration journey.
It is now possible to set a custom discount for several different cloud products within the same cloud scenario or proposal. A final summary of all discounts and discount values will be presented to you, as shown in Image 2.
Benefits: For companies: Have you secured a special 10% discount on all Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Compute Engine (GCE) instances? Txture lets you integrate that directly into your cost forecasts and future scenario planning. For cloud providers: Instantly calculate and present multiple scenarios with and without custom service level discounts or special one-time offers to your customers for better negotiation leverage and increased transparency.
